2008 Annual Picnic & Fun Day -RESCHEDULED- for Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008
Due to Tropical Storm Fay, Eastmonte Park is flooded, which means we will have to reschedule our Picnic and Fun Day
for next Saturday, August 30, 2008 from 12-4pm.. Rain or Shine... Just no Floods. :)

FREE Physicals will still be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Westmonte Park from 12-3:30pm. Unfortunately, we
will not be able to offer FREE Physicals at the re-scheduled event next Saturday. (Westmonte Park, 624 Bills Lane,
    Altamonte Springs, Fl 32714)

We will keep all RSVP's for the picnic that we have received, but to cancel your reservation, get more information, or
    RSVP, please click here.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but hope that you and your family remain safe during this week.
Special Olympics Calls for a Boycott of "Tropic Thunder" & the end of the "R Word"
The R-word is dehumanizing and demeaning to the 200 million people around the
world who have intellectual disabilities.  Hollywood and the new DreamWorks film
“Tropic Thunder” use and abuse the R-word, encouraging behavior that continues
to demean a portion of our population who already face many challenges.

We are therefore encouraging a national boycott of “Tropic Thunder” and asking
people to be fans of dignity by not seeing this film.
