Volunteer Voices

Volunteers are crucial to the success of the Seminole County Program. As a Special Olympics Volunteer, you can meet people, share ideas, master skills, and make a difference.

This month we would like to recognize one of our valued volunteers:

Shelia Rashey

Both my parents did a lot of volunteering.  I guess you could say it is part of my heritage.  I find it very uplifting and fulfilling to help others in need.  My mother summed it up as she would run out the door to volunteer for something. They need me".  –Shelia Rashey

On December 30th they were the STAR OF THE SHOW at the Universal Macy’s Holiday Parade. Afterwards they where all given VIP treatment at the park!

Donate

With out your help, Special Olympics Seminole County would not be able to provide the athletes with some of the following: transportation, uniforms, training equipment, awards, and facility rentals.

With upcoming National Competitions in Iowa, our athletes need your help more than ever! Please join us in our attempts to raise $30,000!
