Families

Families When brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents and others get involved in Special Olympics, they join millions of family members who not only support their loved ones, but also find a support structure themselves. Sometimes having a family member with intellectual disabilities can be very isolating, but by meeting other families, sharing experiences, and learning from one another helps change that. Special Olympics provides hope, knowledge, and community many families seek. Take advantage of the opportunities Special Olympics offers your relative with intellectual disabilities and become more involved as a coach, assistant coach, volunteer, unified partner or just be there at practices and competitions to cheer, share the joy, and meet others. **New Memo from Special Olympics Florida regarding family involvement- Click Here**
Unified Partners Unified Partners act as peers and compete along side our athletes on a team. As a Unified Partner, you are helping bridge the gap between our athletes and the non-intellectually challenged community.
