Tampa Bay Bucs' Gatorade Junior Training Camp
|
Disney's Wide World of Sports Re-Scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, 2008 SIGN UP FORM AT END OF PAGE
What Is It? The camp is a series of fun football skills drills that involve catching, throwing, running through obstacles, etc. They have done this for Special Olympics for several years. It’s a lot of fun and usually several of the Bucs will have a private meet and greet with our athletes before the camp.
What Time? Our tentative plans are to meet at Eastmonte Park at 9am (to ride to the event with the selected chaperones) We will first watch the morning practice (in the shade) Then camp starts at 10:30am and lasts until 12pm. Afterwards, we will grab lunch and return to Eastmonte by 2pm. (Please bring $10 for lunch)
What To Wear? All athletes should be dressed in shorts, tennis shoes and a Special Olympics T-shirt/polo or a Bucs shirt. (Please let us know if you have neither) Don't forget to wear some sun screen.
Who Can Go? We apologize, but we do not recommend bringing athletes who cannot tolerate prolonged exposure to heat and sunlight, as we will be on the field for quite a while. This event is also not conducive to athletes who use wheel chairs or crutches.
