A message from our County Coordinator
Our volunteers are the foundation of  SOSC and the results of their
dedication and efforts can be seen in the smiles of our athletes. Words
cannot express the gratitude and appreciation I have for all who are a part
of SOSC. I encourage you to become a part of our mission, whether you
are a family member, volunteer, or athlete, you can contribute to our
community of champions! I challenge you to consider what you can do help
    - no matter how big or small - your efforts will make a difference in the lives
of many!  -Marie El-khoury, County Coordinator
Spread the WORD to end the WORD
It is time to “Spread the Word to End the Word”. Help others stop and think
about their use of the R-word. That R-word is not “recession,” but
something more hurtful and painful – “retard.”

Spread the Word to End the Word will continue to raise the consciousness
of society about the dehumanizing and hurtful effects of the R-word and
encourage people to pledge to stop using it.

Visit: www.R-word.org to make your pledge today!
"Let Me Be Brave"
Seminole County athlete, Charbel El-khoury, was recently featured in a 7
    minute documentary about Special Olympics
Florida title, “Let Me Be Brave”. This film was produced by atalented group
    of students from Full Sail.
